Realtime cross channel pricing

Cross Channel operator, Freightex, is making its realtime pricing data available on its website at www.freightex.com. Shippers can quickly check if they are paying the right price for a European route by viewing the Freightex pricing map, which also shows how prices have moved over the past month.

Tim Phillips, CEO Freightex says: "We give customers an estimate of the price we expect them to be paying based on our knowledge of actual daily prices paid in the market. Prices are moving all the time so a good price agreed last year may not be so competitive now – if shippers are in any doubt we encourage them to check our site. Shippers looking at a new route may also want an idea of market price before going out to get quotes." With the Freightex model, customers indicate loads which need carrying, and carriers flag up empty vehicles.
